Eddie Gerald was born in Peru and
grew up in Israel. He graduated from Hadassah college of
Photography and Sam Spiegel Film and Television school in
Jerusalem in 1991.
Documentary projects have taken him
to over fifty countries around the globe focusing mainly around
humanitarian issues and large scale projects for leading
publishing houses.
His work has been exhibited and received numerous awards and citations and is
featured in a stream of multi-language publications.
In June 2012 his photo project which aims to raise
awareness of the endangered natural and cultural heritage of
the Jordan River was exhibited at the European parliament in Brussels.
Lately Eddie is involved in facilitating documentary seminars
and has been twice in a row jury member for
Israel's premier photojournalism
contest "Local Testimony".
He currently resides in Tel Aviv and his work is represnted worldwide by
the German photo agency - Laif.
